Centrist Talk // by Meddle America
Have you ever experienced a situation when someone asks you how you’re doing, but then as soon as you tell them how you really are – they stop listening?
This is because they are just following a social script. Think about it. The nice thing to do is to ask you how you’re doing, and then you’re supposed to say: “good.”
Well, the same can be thought of for Congress. The script is every four years, and whenever it’s convenient, politicians say “I care about the working and middle class!”
They always clamor and incite the working class as a reason to vote against or for something. Often throwing around buzz words like “oh no, the deficit!” or “oh my, the spending is through the roof!” (Of course, this is all while voting for weapons deals or for extra funding for defense for other countries.)
Well, here we are! We are the working class, and we have opinions. Not that Congress really asked.
